We then move onto a messy or sensory activity. This is adult led and is very visually motivating. The children watch or join in when asked if they want to. Then it’s time for a game – these are often Listening or matching games that children take part in as a group, building their waiting and turn-taking skills. Then we have a sensory song which engages different senses and encourages engagement and interaction as a whole group. Finally it is time for the Goodbye song Each activity lasts around 5 minutes.
