Providing an outpatient-based, diagnostic hearing service for children and young people aged seven months to 18 years, ensuring early detection and appropriate management of hearing impairment.

Providing nursing care for children and young people with a health need in their own home or the community, including training and support for families and carers.

The Children’s physiotherapy team assess, provide exercise programmes and advice for children and young people who have difficulties with their movement. We also advise on the provision of equipment and run the children’s orthotics and lycra service. We promote holistic, 24 hour management of these conditions with the purpose of improving the independence, health and wellbeing of the child or young person.

The children’s Occupational Therapy service works with children aged 0-19 who have a range of functional difficulties which impact on their daily life. These may include: dressing, toileting, feeding/using cutlery, handwriting, fine and gross motor skills. We provide assessment, advice, and where appropriate individual or group intervention.

The Children’s ADHD and Autism Assessment pathway provides assessments for children for possible Autism and ADHD.

Providing assessment, treatment and management of complex and long-term conditions, affecting a child’s physical and emotional well-being which stops them succeeding educationally and socially.
