Special Needs And Parents (SNAP) are hosting a series of webinars during March for parent/carers. These sessions are offered free for families registered with SNAP. A nominal charge for professionals to attend still applies.
Webinar 1 – Autistic Anxiety, Autistic Children and Education

Summary: Dr Luke Beardon, an acclaimed author and Senior Lecturer in Autism at Sheffield Hallam University is delivering this parent/carer webinar. Webinar 2 – Education Health & Care Plan Annual Reviews

Summary: Hannah from Essex SENDIASS joins SNAP again to talk through the process of the Education, Health and Care Plan “Annual Review”. She will discuss what should happen before, during and after the Annual Review meeting, how they differ from other reviews, how you can prepare for one as a parent/carer and your rights depending on the outcome of the review.

Webinar 3 – Understanding the Language around Gender & LGBTQ+

Summary: This talk will explore LGBTQ+ terminology, looking at the difference between gender identity, gender expression and sexuality. It will bring awareness to the challenges SEND individuals face in the LGBTQ+ community and offer a safe space to ask questions and learn.
