Rectal Diazepam Awareness

This training is for staff who are supporting a child who has epilepsy and is prescribed Rectal Diazepam as a rescue medication. Here you will learn about the medication, how it works and how it is administered. This video should be watched after the epilepsy awareness training. Please note that this medication is given rectally so if this is something that you are not comfortable in doing, please discuss this with your line manager first. Practical training with a nurse will be scheduled after you have watched the video.

Please ensure you are in a quiet space free from any distractions to watch this video.

This training lasts approximately 17 minutes.

When emailing us to book an appointment for an assessment with one of our nurses, please include the name of the staff member requiring the appointment and details of their place of work/organisation.
